10/09/09- Celebrating Kylers 2nd Birthday!

Friday Night we as a family went to Justa Pizza Place in Tomah and had pizza and cake and he got a present. I am having a hard time believing that TWO years have went by so fast. He has grown into 100% boy. He loves tractors and monster trucks, bonding time with Grandpa, Uncle Adam, Uncle Jake and Daddy! He is sweet with kisses and talks a ton. He is MY LIL MAN! I am truly blessed with the most wonderful family. Madi is a great big sister and Kyler loves her dear.

Here are the tractors he got for his birthday at the Pizza Place. He really loves them. If he is having a hard time or needs something to do we just remind him that he has his tractors and this is how you will find him. MONSTER TRUCKS TOO.....
Happy Second Birthday to my LIL Man. I love you, Mr. Kyler! Your truly amazing and you have brang so much to my life. Your so full of life and love. Amazing everyday! Always and Forever, I promise!

Applesauce and Cranberries!

Friday- We went the Apple Orchard!
We picked a large bag of beautiful mixed apples for our weekend project of making homemade apple sauce. Seeing all the different kinda of apples was lots of fun. The apples made fall seem so real. I love apple season. They are one of my favorite fruit. We also got a jar of apple butter to enjoy on homemade pancakes along with some beautiful fall veggies fresh from the garden. No Camera! :(
The kids like the fall colors and are looking forward to our next weekend trip to the pumpkin patch.....

Saturday- HOMEMADE APPLESAUCE!
The whole family join'd in to make a yummy batch of great tasting apple sauce. Madi enjoy'd the peeling, coring and cutting up the apples (with my handy dandy Pampered Chefs Apple tool) and Kyler enjoy'd the tasting! After a few hours we had tackled 16 pounds of apples now frozen in the freezer for later liking. YUM! YUM! YUM!

Sunday- Church potluck and guest Pastor...
Sunday marked the 50 year anniversary to sending kids from Mauston to St. Pauls Luth. School in Wonewoc (Madison currently attends Pre-K) so we celebrated with a invite of the Wonewoc school to our church. The junior choir sang and the new Pastor from their church blessed us with a great sermon. "Following GOD's WORD is very important because to just listen only creates a sand foundation to your faith." Aaron and I made a great tasting Apple Crisp for passing. Kyler is getting better about sitting in church but he needs some more practice. Please pray for him.

Monday- CRANBERRIES, CRANBERRIES, and more CRANBERRIES!
We took a trip the the cranberry bog. It was beautiful. The leave of the trees are turning and the very colorful berries floated at the top of the water. The smell in the air was sweet with a brisk bittery light wind. The kids were attentive and the tour was enjoyable. We learned that cranberries are grown in low lying areas where the soil has an acidic nature and there is an abundant supply of water and sand. Also, did you know that cranberries do not grow under water or in standing water? The water is used for frost protection and helps with harvesting. Madi's favorite part of the tour was the packaging plant and Kyler enjoy'd all the big trucks.

FRIDAY FRIDAY!! June 12th

Daddy went to work early and afterwards we went to WI DELLS and had dinner at the Culver's on the strip. Madi was amazed by the people and enjoyed the shopping. After a little window shopping and dinner we went to the drive in.

We watched the Lost WORLD and Fast & Furious. Cotton Candy and Popcorn entertained the kids as well as how the movie came through the stereo. Madi loved the huge t-rex and closer to the end of the first movie she crashed. Kyler was out during intermission. Aaron and I enjoyed one of our favorite movies newest. YAY!

I would grade our outing as a 9 out of 10! LOTS OF FUN!!!!

THE LOST WORLD WAS OK BUT WEIRD, not my type of show and FAST & FURIOUS was AWESOME!!!

June 11th - Playgroup at the Park

Our normal playgroup meets at the JCFRC, but we did a special at the park. We hiked it to the park about 10 blocks away only for an adventure in it self. The kids both walked alone. No stroller. Kyler decided that he was going to explore someones backyard. Madi ran ahead. Finally, about 1/2 way there we meet a nice not so friendly little pug. He was kinda, maybe interested in us but wasn't so sure. I put both kids on the other side of me and keep walking. He followed up for about a block until Mr. Old Golden Retriever made it well known that he was not to be in his yard. After scaring Pug away, he lolled over to see the kids (snif snif) and wondered away. On for a couple of blocks until Madi informed me that we could NOT WALK across the ROAD MOM because the LIGHT IS RED! She is much like daddy and don't except that she could possible be wrong. But, soon she could see the clock tower of the Library and all was good. In the final stretch Kyler took a fall resulting in a boo-boo that lasted 10 seconds and FINALLY THE PARK!

We got there and there were lots of friends. Madi liked playing on the bouncy toy in the middle of the park and Ky founds something ride on to entertain him. I sat to rest, wow what a walk! But in only minutes Kyler found the WATER! Lunch was ham sandwiches and whole made mac and cheese. Neither of the kids had much interest in dinner but continued to play. Sadly, we lost a couple of playmates to a long distance move. But, we wished them best of luck and let them know they will be missed. Closer to the end of playgroup, Grandma showed up with my van. How exciting! And they played...

HOME AT LAST, with a house full of playgroup kids for a playdate!

June 10th -Tommy Bartlett Show

June 10th marked the one year anniersary of Lake Delton draining. Tommy Bartlett did a free show and we attended. Mom, Keli, Adam, Jake, Madi, Kyler and I. The kids enjoyed the watershow. Kyler says "Where they go" " There they are" "WOW"

Madi's first harvest from the garden!

LETTUCE!

Life has been kinda show this week since I hurt my back at the waterpark and also got sick. We did manage to attend a fitness playgroup today. Tonight we made a visit after lots of rain to the garden to snip some of the huge lettuce overgrowth.

Madi was so excited to bring something to eat home from "her" garden!

Tomorrow is Craft w/ Kids- the plan is to make a daddy's day shirt!

KIDFEST 2009- Mauston!
This was incredible. The kids had so much fun. The planners did a great job. Madi enjoy'd the pony and Kyler loved the train. We had tons of fun ... here are some pictures to prove.

May 30,2009

We attended "Down on the farm" at Wisconsin River Meats. It was not what I thought it was going to be but the kids liked the milkshake by the Mauston FFA and the huge cow.

Chasing the rain away.... Fun in the Sun.

We spent this after noon at MT. OLYMPUS. It was lots of fun. The kids really enjoy'd the water. Kyler even did a couple of slides. Madi's friend Kiera show'd up to play too. Lunch was picnic style under a tree. The huge wave pool was a big hit. Kyler found himself happy on the lazy river. First couple of laps with Grandma but as soon as mommy came on, he was all mine. We kick'd around and then he decided to nurse and fall asleep. Madi and Grandma Peggy went off on there own and Kyler and I tried out the hot tub for a few. Then, back to the wave pool for a finish. We closed the place down.

SUNSHINE!

Kyler is doing better then to be expected. He play'd hard and ate well today. This morning he got daddy to stay home from work with him though. We ended up going to Walmart and getting cages for the tomato plants in our garden. GO GARDEN!

We also got a potty chair and boxers for Kyler. I will be taking pictures of the lil guy in them tomorrow. We are going to do the 3 day challange Sunday, Monday, Tuesday. Wish us lots of luck (I will be needing it)

The boys came again tonight. We enjoy'd a few good books and play'd at the park for a while.

Tomorrow we are headed to KIDS FEST and to Down on the FARM! :)

In time we hate that which we often fear.

WHAT A DAY! THIS MORNING EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT. BOTH KIDS GOT UP, DRESSED, BREAKFAST, AS WE WERE PREPARING TO GO TO GRANDMA AND GRANDPAS HOUSE FOR A WEEKLY VISIT. I DECIDED I WOULD MOP THE KITCHEN FLOOR BEFORE WE LFET AND SENT THE KIDS TO PLAY. AFTER GETTING THREE QUARTERS OF THE WAY DONE WITH THE FLOOR, I HEAR THIS HUGE BOOOOOOOM!

I DROP'D THE MOP AND WENT RUNNING. THE PICTURE WAS HORRIBLE. KYLER TIP'D THE DRESSER WITH THE TV DOWN ON TOP OF HIM AND ON TO MADISON LEG. AS I WAS STANDING IN SHOCK, CONTEMPLATING WHAT TO DO, HE MANAGED TO GET OUT FROM UNDER THE DRESSER/TV AND WAS FULL OF BLOOD. HE RAN TO ME AS I PICKED THE DRESSER OFF OF MADISON AND ASKED HER IF SHE WAS OK. SHE SAID HER LEG HURT. I TOLD HER TO SIT STILL AND I WILL BE RIGHT BACK. RUNNING TO GET THE WASHCLOTH FOR BLEEDING KYLER, COVER'D IN BLOOD , I QUICKLY REALIZE HE HAD A MISSING TOOTH. IN A PANIC (SOMETHING I DON'T DO OFTEN) I CALLED AARON. I WENT BACK TO CHECK ON MADISON WHO WAS STILL SITTING IN THE SAME SPOT THE SAME WAY PLAYING WITH A DOLL. I ASKED HER IF SHE COULD GET UP AND TOOK A QUICK PEEK. SHE SEEMS TO BE OK. A SMALL BRUISE IS ALL. (THANK YOU DEAR GOD)

NOW, I ALLOW KYLER TO NURSE AND GET THE NUMBER TO THE DENTIST. SHE TOLD ME NOT TO PANIC AND ASKED IF I COULD GET DOWN THERE BY NOON. I TOLD HER IF I HURRY. THEN, I TAKE ANOTHER PEEK IN KYLER BLEEDING MOUTH AFTER NURSING AND FIND THAT THE TOOTH IS STILL THERE AND IT WAS JUST BENT BACK. (OUCH) HE IS NOW DONE CRYING. WE JUST CUDDLE UNTIL DAD GETS HOME AND HEAD TO MADISON, WHERE I TAKE MY KIDS TO GO TO THE DENTIST. KYLER NAPS ON THE WAY DOWN.

WE GET TO THE DENTIST AND HE ORDERS AN X-RAY. THEN TAKES A PEEK IN THE MOUTH FOR THE EXAM. ITS WORSE THEN I THOUGHT. NOT ONLY IS HIS TOOTH MOVING AROUND AND TOTALLY LOOSE. HE BROKE THE GUM BEHIND ALL HIS FRONT TEETH. AS TEARS FILL MY EYES I WAKE OUT OF THE ROOM TO GATHER MYSELF AND RETURN FOR THE DOCTOR TO SAY THAT ITS NOT AS BAD AS IT MAY SEEM. THAT RECOVERY IS SIMPLE AS TO JUST LEAVE THINGS BE. THE ONLY REQUIREMENT IS KYLER IS TO REMAIN ON A SOFT DIET UNTIL HER RETURNS TO HIS FOLLOW UP ON JUNE 4TH.

KYLER IS A TROOPER. BY AFTERNOON IT WAS LIKE NOTHING HAPPEN'D. PLEASE PRAY THAT TOMORROW GOES AS WELL AND ALTHOUGH ITS SURE TO BE PAINFUL, I HOPE ITS MANAGEABLE.

AND JUST FOR THE NOTE. THE DRESSER AND TV ARE NOW OUT OF THE KIDS REACH AND GONE, TO NEVER RETURN TO THE PREVIOUS LOCATION.

ON A POSITIVE NOTE:

THIS YEARS SUMMER SITTING JOB STARTED AND WENT WELL. I AM SITTING FOR A SET OF 3.5 YR OLD TWINS!! THEY ARE ADORABLE. TONIGHT WENT WELL.

NOTES ON YESTERDAY SINCE I DID NOT POST....

WE ATTENDED A SUNSHINE PLAYGROUP, PLAY'D IN THE RAIN AND CAME HOME TO MAKE A NEW NEVER BEFORE DINNER THAT WAS PRETTY YUMMY.

ON TO TOMORROW..... GOODNIGHT, GOD BLESS!!!

The rules of soccer are very simple, basically it is this: if it moves, kick it. If it doesn't move, kick it until it does.

SOCCER IS A REAL KICK!

Tonight was the last soccer game. We play'd U4 Orange and TIED! The little soccer players were tons of fun. I am honor'd to have been the coach this season!

We have one more tournament left the first week in June. GO GOLD!!!!!!!

SOCCER
by Amy S. Fowble-
EVERY member has a ROLE,
To dribble, pass, or stop the GOAL
FOLLOW the rules- it can be hard,
YOU may just get a yellow card.
A penalty KICK may be in STORE,
When a foul can stop a CHANCE to score.
As YOU'RE running down the field, be QUICK-
This game can give you quite a KICK!

”Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?” ~William Shakespeare
